Getting Ready

Evaluation

We will schedule a time to meet with you and begin with written tasks prior to proceeding to the on-road evaluation. You must pass the clinical portion to proceed to behind-the-wheel.

Follow-up

We will deliver the results of your evaluation at the time of your appointment. A full report will be available to you within 3-5 business days.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the clinical evaluation include?

Pre-driving clinical assessment includes evaluation of vision, cognition, physical abilities, behavior, judgment, attention, and perception.

Where do you perform the evaluation?

We drive to a location of your choice and begin in the home to complete the necessary paperwork prior to taking the behind-the-wheel portion.

How do I prepare for the evaluation?

We do not recommend that you study for the evaluation. We use standardized tests and measures. A basic road signs and road rules questionnaire is included.

What happens if I don't pass the driving evaluation?

If you do not pass the comprehensive driving evaluation several outcomes are possible and will be discussed at that time.

For Family/Caregivers

If you or a caregiver would like more information on the process of

how and when to help your family member or client retire from driving,

we can help. If driving becomes difficult due to physical, visual or mental

changes, a professional, comprehensive driving evaluation can identify areas

that may require training or adaptations to improve driving safely.

We offer a variety of alternative transportation resources and mobility solutions

when we recommend driving retirement.

We offer driving screens as well as comprehensive driving evaluations for those

clients who want to be proactive in determining their fitness to drive and

prolong their driving years. The recommendations of the driving screens are

shared only with the client.
